1. The lacon:
It is obtained from the front limbs of the pig after a process of salting, washing, settling and curing. Its consumption is closely linked to Christmas Eve and Carnival Sunday. It is accompanied by boiled potato, turnip tops, chorizo and other ingredients.

It is usually accompanied by "cachelos", boiled potatoes with skin and drizzled with olive oil.
5. The Filloas:
White, milk, sweet or salty, pancakes are usually eaten at Carnival. They are made with egg, milk and flour, traditionally they were cooked in the "lareiras" of the old houses, which had a part destined to support the plate of the pancakes so that they were hot while they were being made. They can be filled with sweet creams such as quince, chocolate, cooked chestnuts, jam and even cream.
